Playing games while on travel are the perfect choice for our Christmas holidays, especially during our trips to visit our family and friends. That’s why during our travels we should always bring with us portable board games.

Holidays and travels are the best moments of our life. During a family trip or a Christmas vacation playing travel games is a good way to enjoy our precious moments of relaxation.

During a long journey or a Christmas party, travel games such as chess checkers, connect four, blokus, battleship, ingenious, square up and more, can always entertain us and our kids.

Classic travel games are always the perfect choice to keep our kids busy and entertained and to help us to enjoy a relaxing break.

Often, during our travels and our holidays we find ourselves “killing the time” and we’d like to do something lightly, perhaps involving our family and friends. And what’s better of travel games, board games and party games.

Personally, during travels with my family, I always bring with me the best portable games, quizzes and board games and I prefer to spend a quiet evening at home playing board games without the worry of having to go out at all costs!

If you like spend some relaxing night in this way or you planning a travel for this Christmas, don’t forget to bring with you the best games while one travel: cool portable games in a magic and stylish little box with different size to enjoy even the longest trip.

Games like chess, checkers, solitaire, quizzes, brain teasers and classic board games are there waiting for you and can be original gadgets when they’re contained in a nice travel box, like those that you can find on Internet for a very little price.

If don’t want to get bored during your travels, remember to bring always with you portable games and you may start to appreciate even the little boring moments of the journey.

Now it’s your turn: play games with your family while on travel and during your holidays and make your next move!

Your mom means the world to you and you mean more than you will ever know to your mom. She is the one who watched you grow up and become the person you are today. She is the one who helped you with your school work, your injuries by kissing them to make them better and putting a Band-Aid on them, and came to all of your school functions. You want to give your mom something extra meaningful for Christmas. Here are some Christmas holiday gift ideas for mom:

How about a lovely pencil sketch of the home you grew up in? She will treasure the picture of your family home forever. Another one of the Christmas holiday gift ideas for mom is a pencil sketch of the cabin you all went to as a family while you were growing up as it would make a perfect Christmas holiday gift for mom. You can all share your favorite memory at the cabin or home growing up while you are sitting around your holiday dinner.

If you think your mom would like a watercolor painting than you could do any one of the above mentioned ideas by a professional and very talented watercolor painter.

If mom loves to golf you can get her a personalized golf club to display. There are other golf accessories to help her with her game you can choose from. She will enjoy using her very own personalized golf club accessories every time she hits the green.

Maybe your mom has a mix match of wine glasses. Christmas is the perfect time to give her a new set of personalized wine glasses. You can add a decanter to her collection as well. If she carries her wine to other peoples homes you can give her a classy wine tote to make carrying the wine bottle easier for her.

If your mom has to travel to see you throughout the year, a leather travel bag is just the gift she needs. You may even want to include an airline ticket to come and visit you. Make more memories with your mom by sharing your time together.

Another one of the Christmas holiday gift ideas includes a leather passport. If your mom is going across the seas and enjoying her golden years, a leather passport case and holder is a lovely gesture. You will be protecting her passport with style. Let her enjoy her trip or trips without having to worry about her passport getting ruined.

Christmas has encompassed the whole nation in its joyous festivities. Everyone must have planned something or the other to commemorate the festival. If, by the way, you are still in a fix regarding your planning, I think I can help you out. Go out on a holiday. Why? Not because it is the tried and tested way or because it is a clich?d idea that nearly everyone decides to bank upon. But it is good idea if you have been tired of the same droning routine that is so maddening and you are dying to take a break. To my mind, I guess 99% of population is sailing in the same boat on the grounds as mentioned above.

There are a lot of holiday packages that are being offered at a very cost effective rate by various travel agencies. All the more, there is good news for all the netizens. Online travel agencies have been offering much lucrative and various deals. The selection, booking and payment are solely online. You don’t need to ask your trustworthy travel agent who took care of your travel package. Internet is also equally reliable. You can select the suitable travel destination from the net and thereby decide on the best possible destination available for your Christmas holidays.

As Christmas time, English weather is chilly. If your pocket allows, you can choose to go for a beach holiday in Australia, India, or may be Seychelles. There is no dearth of warm and tropical holiday location that gives you a respite out of the very cold English weather. Or there is nothing like a perfect European holiday in this season as well. If it seems difficult for you to find the travel shops, then there is always a solution of going to any online shopping portal. The shopping is very interesting as you buy and you earn too, in the form of the Cashback.

Recently, I heard a lot of hullabaloo regarding the deals being offered by a website called UKOnlineMarket. I went through the deal myself and found that it really seemed impressive as far as the holiday packages were concerned.

The vacation is arriving shortly. Pack your bags and gets going! All the best!

It should certainly not be a problem to travel when you are pregnant so long as you plan your travel properly. You do of course have to consider the stage of your pregnancy, how you are physically, and any other problems that may have been discussed with your midwife or doctor.
From a practical point of view you need to fit your travel around any antenatal visits you may have booked, and any tests you may be scheduled for.
If you and your baby are well, and subject to any appointments mentioned above then it would generally be acceptable to go ahead and plan any travel.
One thing that I would suggest you do before you leave your home, is to make a note of important details relating to your care so that if you have any problems whilst away from home, then any doctor or midwife will be able to read your details and ensure that the correct treatment is given to both you and your baby.
The information I would suggest you write down are:-
Your name, address, date of birth.
A list of any medications you may be taking.
Your Health care insurance details (if applicable). Check that this insurance covers pregnancy and delivery, and also look at any restrictions that may apply with international travel.
Your doctors name and telephone number and also your consultants details (if you are under a consultant)
Your due date, and also your record of appointments, scans etc.
Include a note of an emergency contact within your family, preferably more than one. This way you can be sure that your family will be notified if there is a medical problem whilst you are away.
Other tips to help you when you are traveling:-
Double check the insurance details for your actual holiday – is pregnancy covered? Some policies specifically exclude cancellation of a holiday due to problems within pregnancy, so it is always wise to ensure that you are fully covered.
Make sure that you pack enough of your medicines to last for your trip – this includes both prescribed and over the counter medicines, as these are not always easily available.
If you are going to be traveling alone at any time, always take a cell phone with you and check before you leave home that it will work in the country you are visiting.
Drink plenty of water to help avoid dehydration – this is especially important if you will be flying.
Remember that you are likely to get more tired, so although you can plan normal activities, make sure you allow extra time for resting.
Try and take a supply of healthy snacks with you for your journey, as it is not always easy to get healthy meals whilst traveling.
It is very important to take your bathroom schedule into consideration. You will know from experience that as a pregnant mum, you are likely to need to use the bathroom much more frequently than normal. It would be best not to plan to travel anywhere out in the sticks, where facilities may be few and far between.
Take into account that your legs and feet are quite likely to swell if you are sitting in one position for any length of time. Wear comfortable and preferably expandable shoes whenever you are able to. Get up and walk around if you are on a train, bus or aeroplane, and if you are in a car make sure you allow plenty of stop times so you can walk around a bit, and of course use the bathroom!
Check what vaccines (if any) are needed to visit your chosen country and ask your doctor if these are safe to have whilst pregnant.
The quality of healthcare and also the quality of the food and water can be ‘dodgy’ in some countries so do remember this and take necessary precautions.
It is wise to avoid the more risky activities, such as surfing, skiing, scuba diving etc, especially when you are well into your pregnancy.
If you suffer from motion sickness sit in the front seat of the car, and make sure your windows are open so that you get plenty of fresh air. If you are in an aeroplane try and sit over a wing, and if on a boat stay on deck and focus on the horizon as this helps to avoid nausea. You can buy special wristbands which fit over acupuncture points on your wrist to help with motion sickness.
Follow these suggestions, take advice where necessary and you should have a healthy journey.
The most important thing is that if you are uncertain about whether you should be traveling, then talk to your doctor or midwife. If he/she advises against it then put your journey off until after your baby is born, as nothing is more precious than your health and the baby you are carrying.

General Pregnancy and Travel Factors to Think About

How many weeks pregnant will you be when you travel?
Where will you travel to?
How will you travel during pregnancy?
Is your pregnancy considered to be ‘high/higher-risk’?

There may well be other factors that your doctor will need to consider during your consultation about travel during pregnancy

How many weeks pregnant will you be when you plan to travel?

According to the American College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, the safest time for combining pregnancy and travel is during the second trimester (that’s 18-24 weeks) because that’s when you feel most well and the risk of complications is least. In the second trimester, any should be over and the fatigue of the third trimester should not have set in yet!

Your second trimester is probably the best time to plan travel during pregnancy!

Where will you travel to?

#1 question here is ‘Are you planning to holiday at home or abroad?’. Foreign travel is fantastic … I’m a huge fan, however, when you’re planning to travel during pregnancy you do need to consider some extra travel risks carefully …

Will you need vaccinations to travel to your destination?
Is your destination a malaria-endemic area?
What are the health-care standards in the country / countries you will visit?
Is the water safe to drink and could the food upset your tummy? Dehydration as a result of vomiting and / or diarrhoea is a very real problem for pregnant women.
Is your destination at an altitude higher than 3,658 meters or 12,000 feet?

How will you travel?

Pregnant Traveller: On Land

Bus, car and train journeys are generally considered to be safe options for pregnant travelers … but do try to limit journey time to 5-6 hours at the most. On long journeys keep your seatbelt fastened, airbag switched on and remember to take regular breaks to keep your circulation going

Trains offer the chance to move around, which is generally safe … but do remember to hold onto seatbacks or rails when walking around. Trains often have loos which is great when traveling during pregnancy … but boy can they be small and unhygienic! Have your own supply of wipes to hand! (It’s great practice for being a mom!)

Coaches worry me the most with regards to pregnancy and travel! You often can’t adjust the seats which tend to be small, as are the aisles and there are no seatbelts. My recommendation is to remain seated at all times when a bus / coach is moving

Pregnant Traveller: By Air

Air travel during pregnancy is generally considered to be safe until the eighth month. As a general rule, you may be able to fly up to 36 weeks on short-haul routes and between 32-35 weeks for long-haul flights, with appropriate certification from your doctor. You will need to check with the airline you plan to fly with what their terms and conditions relating to air travel during pregnancy are … before you book!

Pregnant Traveller: On Water

Sea travel is generally safe and a cruise can be a wonderfully relaxing and romantic holiday during pregnancy. Don’t forget to pack some acupressure sea-bands in case or motion sickness or morning sickness.

Is your pregnancy considered to be ‘high/higher-risk’?

I’m not a doctor! You need to speak to your medical professional about any travel plans you have … and if you’re aware that your pregnancy is ‘high/higher-risk’ make that call today!

Wherever you go … whatever you do … have a wonderful, safe honeymoon.

Do you feel like Clark W. Griswold trying to make a perfect holiday and stumbling through mishaps? Everyone faces challenges of juggling their time effectively during the hectic holiday season. We all have to carry on our normal activities plus shop, wrap, cook, clean, bake, decorate, travel, etc. Here are 12 ways to manage your time so you can feel relaxed, happy, and joyous during the holiday season.
1. Practice good self-care: Eat right and get enough rest. Do something special for yourself every day, even if you only have 10 minutes to spare. Do what makes you feel relaxed; take a walk, listen to your favorite music, have a massage, stretch. Periodically stretch and take a few deep breaths.
2. Plan Ahead: Create a workable schedule to get everything important done. Ask yourself: Does this really need to be done today? Would anyone be affected if I didn’t do it? If the answer is ‘yes’ to either question, then it is a priority. Take care of priority items first, and then do other less important things.
During the holidays, time demands seem to multiply. Make some time for yourself to plan how to best use your time. Take a vacation or personal day midweek and avoid weekend crowds at the malls. Buy holiday stamps in November, and avoid long lines at the post office. Cook a large meal on a weekend and reheat leftovers for quick dinners on nights when you’re shopping.
3. Shop Smart: Instead of running endless errands and wondering what to buy, keep a gift datasheet in your wallet. Make 7 columns on a piece of lined paper to keep track of. 1) who you need to shop for, 2) what size they wear, 3) what colors they prefer, 4) what hobbies and interests they have, 5) favorite stores, 6) items bought, 7) price. As you purchase gifts, fill in columns 5 and 6. This gives you a feeling of accomplishment, and saves you time, money and aggravation.
Shop strategically where you can get extra services. For example, Ross-Simons provides complimentary gift wrapping for any merchandise bought in their stores. If you’re not sure what someone wants or needs, purchase a gift certificate. Purchase through catalogs or at holiday fundraising fairs.
One way to beat the holiday hustle and bustle is to shop all year long. You can take advantage of end-of-season sales, use a gift datasheet, and store the gifts for the holidays ahead.
4. Do a little every day: Keep cards to be sent, stamps, your address book, and an alphabetical list of everyone you will send holiday cards to. While watching TV, write a few envelopes or apply stamps during commercial breaks. Scan what is still unfilled on your gift datasheet and peruse store mailers. This way, you can have all your cards ready and everything purchased by early December.
5. Simplify gift wrapping: You can choose all papers, bags, bows and ribbons in one color family. If paper gets torn, a bow gets squashed or curly ribbon gets wrecked, it’s quick and easy to replace. When traveling with gifts to party, place a bag of extra bows and ribbons in the car to spruce up packages just before you arrive.
7. Forget perfection: Don’t stress yourself trying to achieve idyllic images. Unless you’re an accomplished pastry chef, don’t try to make the ‘perfect pumpkin pie’. Choose food items from caterers and restaurants and save yourself time and a lot of disappointment.
8. Delegate: Don’t try to do it all. Who do you know who is a better shopper, baker, wrapper, etc.? Ask these people to help you with tasks, explaining that you’re not as experienced in doing it and that you value their input. You’ll make them feel important.
Help the people you’re delegating to. Offer to share your strengths with others, helping to diminish their holiday stress. If you’re a good baker, you could exchange goodies with a friend who has nice handwriting who’ll address your cards. Take turns watching each other’s kids so you can shop in peace.
9. Clarify your intentions: Hoping or wishing for something does not have the same power as “intending” does. Intending means you fully expect your desired outcome to happen. When you decide what you want to experience and plan how to make it happen, you can make your vision a reality. You can then concentrate on the HOW instead of the IF. Set clear intentions for this holiday season, such as ‘I’ll have everything finished by Dec.18 so I can relax and enjoy the next two weeks.’
10. Laugh. Keep a few jokes with you. Watch comedies, go to comedy shows or simply listen to other people laughing. Laughter is contagious and can help you reduce blood pressure, release an enzyme that will protects your stomach from forming ulcers, relax muscle tension, release natural pain relievers, and boost your immune system.
11. Learn to say ‘no’: It really is OK to say ‘no’ to things you don’t have time for or don’t have an interest in participating. If you saying yes because you’re worried about what someone might say, you’ll feel resentful and out of control. Be true to yourself. Say ‘maybe’ when you really want to take time to think about a request. After you have thought about it, then make your decision. Don’t say ‘maybe’ to avoid saying ‘no’. Say ‘yes’ to those requests which you are excited about and ‘no’ to those you aren’t.
12. Relax and Have Fun: You deserve to relax and have fun every day – and the holiday season is no exception. Spend a little of each day doing what makes you feel relaxed. Bask in the knowledge that you have set up a plan to accomplish all you had to do for the holidays, and it is already done. You aren’t pressured. You can choose what to do with your time.
With good self-care and time management, you won’t be stressed driving from place to place searching for last-minute gifts, wasting time, standing in long lines, or feeling so overextended that you could snap. You’ll have the important things done ahead of time, be relaxed and able enjoy the holidays!
