The region of Caribbean has emerged as one of the ideal places for spending your holidays. It is not only suitable for families and individuals but perfect for couples too. In fact, it is ranked as the best place for couples to spend their honeymoon.

The Caribbean is not just the name of one place, it is whole region that has more than 7,000 islands, cays and reefs. Therefore, it gets quite difficult to choose which island to visit. The most popular destinations are Bermuda, Cuba, Cayman Islands, St. John, Guadeloupe, Saint Vincent etc. The options are limitless, in a place that has been compared to heavens.

The Caribbean is a tropical area. The weather remains the same throughout the year. It is pleasant and warm so best suited for couples comparing to the cold areas. However, anyone who wants to share some cosy moments with his or her partner in privacy of the clear blue skies, Caribbean is the place to be.

You can have a cruising trip around the Caribbean. This will enable you to visit several islands in a go, or you can just choose to relax on the white sands of the Caribbean. Sunbath all day long or swim in the clear blue waters, the choice is yours.

You can have a lot of fun by indulging in water sports like diving, snorkelling, yachting, sailing, and kayaking etc. If you are interested in marine life, Caribbean lets you watch it closely through a submarine trip that takes you around 500m under seawater. More adventurous would be swimming with the dolphins.

The people of Caribbean enjoy carnivals and festivals. You will have a great time here by participating in these festivities. If your partner is a music lover, surprise her by taking her to see Bob Marleys birthplace in Reggae, Jamaica. Nightlife at Caribbean is thriving. If you are a nightlife enthusiast, Caribbean will surprise you by its unique bars, clubs, and restaurants.

The best part of your holidays will be traditional Caribbean cuisine and shopping. You will find the true taste of seafood while being at the Caribbean. Apart from that, since the Caribbean is home to diverse cultures, you will find cuisines from every corner of the world. Shopping is the best part because totally it is duty free. You can find everything from clothing and shoes to native handicrafts. You two can enjoy the traditional plantations at the Caribbean that will give you a true taste of the history of the Caribbean.

These are activities that a couple must relish, and without which, the trip will not be complete. You will get a taste of the life in 18th and 19th century here. Whether it is a private picnic on an inhabited island, or a hike through a dense rainforest, morning walks on the sandy beaches or swimming through the turquoise waters of the Caribbean, you will have the most fantastic time of your life here. A holiday that you two will remember for times to come is waiting in Caribbean.

Antigua offers one of the ultimate Caribbean experiences wile boasting a large amount of three hundred and sixty five beaches. Antigua is also blessed with a pelagic heritage dating back to the Nelsons era. The famous sailing week that is admired all over the world also takes place in Antigua. Antigua is not only rich in history and culture, but it also offers one of the most comfortable holidays in the Caribbean.

The white powder soft beaches of Antigua make it so unsual and charismatic. The fresh seafood served in Antigua is popular in the world and the cuisine is diverse just like the customs. Antigua has a unique and special atmosphere. The resorts and hotels on the island are lush and exclusive.

The Galley Bay is one of the top ranked resorts in Antigua, and it is found in a setting that is obscure and calm. There is a bird sanctuary and the beach that spans to three quarters of a mile. On the West coast of Antigua, there is the Cocobay, which is sited at a beautiful bluff. It is a quite new resort and the best that you would find amongst all the newly built.

There is remarkable woodwork in the interior and there is handcrafted plantation style furniture also. The resort has all the characteristics of a great getaway. Cocobay has forty-two cottages, which are not only appealing because of their pastel shades, but also offer complete peace and time for yourself.

Another wonderful resort in Antigua is Bluewaters, which is set in fourteen acres of tropical, exotic gardens. A lot of tourists come to the resort each year because of the excellent environment that they get there along with the hospitable service. You can get a few great views of the sunset from the position where the resort is located. All the rooms have private balconies that offer you ultimate seclusion and privacy, along with exotic views of the island.

The Curtain Bluff is a resort that has been there for more than forty years and the fifteen acres of beach combined with the amazing gardens create some brilliant vistas with the sea gust. You can coddle yourself in a luxurious and restful experience at the hotel.

Pristine beaches with lush, tropical plantations border the Jumby Bay Resort in Antigua. It is a private island and offers exclusivity of the truest nature. The location of the resort is very elegant and it has a croquet lawn and airy verandas. The Estate house is actually two hundred and thirty years old and is a great venue for your meals and drinks, as well as for staying.

Antiguas resorts and luxury getaways do not end there. It has a lot more to offer. Other luxury hotels that are the most famous in all of the Caribbean are St. James Club, Hermitage Bay, Inn at the English Harbour and the Carlisle Bay. The sightseeing and shopping is also great in Antigua.
When the snow is falling and cold temperatures reign throughout much of the United States and Europe, the Caribbean is warm and sunny as ever. As a result, the winter months have become the Caribbeans high tourism season, supported by travelers from throughout the Northern Hemisphere hoping to escape inhospitable weather. In addition to excellent weather during the Christmas season and beyond, most Caribbean destinations boast action-packed winter schedules that include concerts, festivals, unique holiday events and special tour and recreation options. Though the popular winter season generally features higher travel rates throughout the region, those traveling on a budget can still find plenty of great values when booking in advance, especially families who can take advantage of special travel packages at top resorts.

December

The month of December marks the beginning of the high tourism season for most Caribbean destinations, but plenty of great travel values can still be found each year before the Christmas holiday. While travelers on a budget will still find plenty of holiday excitement during the first part of the month, those that visit the Caribbean during the Christmas and New Years weeks will find a greater assortment of activities and special events. For instance, the islands of Aruba and Curacao celebrate the holiday season in true Dutch fashion with regular appearances by Sinterklaas and special events that fuse modern holiday customs, centuries-old European traditions and a touch of Caribbean flair. Furthermore, those hoping to attend Christmas mass or other holiday services will find plenty of options throughout the region.

While travelers wont find a White Christmas in the Caribbean, the excellent winter weather – temperatures generally range from the mid-70s to the mid-80s during December – allows holiday visitors to spend plenty of time on the beach, in the water and exploring outdoor destinations.

January

January begins with the excitement of New Years Day, a holiday that is well-suited to the regions exciting atmosphere and penchant for celebration. Select islands like St. Kitts host New Years Day parades each year, but nearly every Caribbean destination offers plenty of New Years Eve options, including many special activities for families on islands such as Aruba and St. Thomas.

Visitors to the Caribbean during the later weeks of January will find the excitement of high tourism season in full-swing, but the focus on recreation and relaxation allows all types of travelers to recuperate after the bustling holiday season. Though it is easy to kick back and enjoy the scenery during the month of January, the end of the month marks the beginning of the regions famous Carnival celebrations, most notably in destinations such as Aruba, Curacao and St. Kitts. Those visiting the Caribbean during the month of January will also find a wide variety of music festivals and other cultural events that add to the excitement of the season.

The month of January offers very similar weather to December, as temperatures remain warm, but comfortable during the day and pleasantly mild at night. Despite the fact that January falls in the middle of high tourism season, there are often plenty of travel values available, including specially-priced family packages at some of the Caribbeans top resorts.

February

As February is often recognized as the least hospitable month throughout the Untied States and Europe, this post-holiday period stands as the most popular time to visit the Caribbean. February offers similar weather to other winter months, though the region typically experiences fewer rainy days in the lead-up to spring. As a result, February is an excellent time to participate in some of the regions world-renowned water sport activities – including everything from scuba diving and snorkeling to sailing and fishing – as well as other outdoor recreation or ecotourism opportunities.

During February, Mardi Gras and Carnival celebrations are in full swing throughout the entire region, meaning plenty of exciting events can be found at any Caribbean destination. The Valentines Day holiday is also a popular travel time for couples in search of romantic activities and exotic scenery. Each year, many of the regions top resorts offer special short-term travel packages for couples that include excellent dining options and relaxing spa treatments.

When considering the excellent winter weather and excitement surrounding high tourism season, it is no wonder that the months of December, January and February stand as the most popular time to visit the Caribbean. Best of all, there are plenty of destinations throughout the Caribbean that are home to an inviting atmosphere and travel values perfect for all types of tourists.
